19th Annual Get-together 2021

 

The 19th annual get-together of the Rajans OBU Group of 94 was held on 03rd of April 2021 at Hotel Devon, Ampitiya under the health guide lines. The chief guest of the event was Hon Principal Mr Dampiya Wanasinghe

It was the last get-together of our group with principal Mr Dampiya Wanasinghe as he is expecting retirement in few months time.

Our batch mate and the first president of Rajans OBU Group of 94 Mr Imal Atalugama's commitment to the upliftment of our group as well as the role of pioneering to set up the group was appreciated on this day

Annual Cricket Match 2012

 The 10th Annual Cricket Match of Rajans OBU Group of 94 was held on 15th December 2012 at Agricultural Services' Grounds - Gannoruwa which is located in a picturesque location. This is the second time our match was being held in the location. 

The Annual General Meeting was also held on this day and elected the officials for the upcoming year 2013. Nalin Abeykoon was elected as the President while Chandima Abesinghe and Anjula De Silva were elected as secretary and treasure respectively.

General Meeting 2009

As everyone knows the previously elected officials (most of them) resigned due to personal issues such as leaving the island, career problems etc. Therefore the need of an active set of officials was felt strongly. To overcome these difficulties and to the upliftment of the Group we decided to elect new officials. Therefore a GM (General Meeting) was called prior to the Annual Cricket Match.

Sanjeewa Hulangamuwa conveyed a brief but very important presentation about the projects and activities we successfully executed during past years. He illustrated the visuals of them and mentioned the feedback we got from the mob. Then we elected the officials for the Year 2010. They are as follows

Vice Treasurer : Indu Abesinghe

The new president Tharanga Gamage expressed his gratitude on behalf of the newly elected officials. Then we discussed mostly about the difficulties we faced during past years and about the measures to be taken to avoid such matters in the future. Then discussed about the upcoming mega-project “Open Air Theater” Since it was a huge project Hulangamuwa was elected as the Project Manager for it. He mentioned that some of the basics were already initiated.

The General Meeting ended with many new hopes and it is a sign of a giant leap forward.
