Renovation of Art Gallery (Project 2015)

Dear brothers of Rajans Group of 94

It’s about a year since we successfully renovated the Year 10/11 building of Dharmaraja college. Present principal Mr S.M.Keerthiratne has assigned a new task to our group by requesting to colour wash and renovate the Art Gallery of Dharmaraja College. It was donated by one of the outstanding old Rajans Mr Sunil Sirisena (Rtd chairman NSB and secretary – Ministry of Education) in 2010.

As an outstanding OBU group of our college we are capable of achieving this target with all the experience we had from Rs one million project of last year.

So far we have done the basic estimations and we need your generous support towards this as it is for our alma mater.

The Request Letter from Principal

BOQ for this project is already prepared and it cost around Rs 550 000.00. The target is to complete the renovation prior to the 3rd school term begins. So we are kindly seeking your generous donations towards this. It is decided a bench mark value of Rs 5000.00 for group member and one can donate any amount regardless of the bench mark. Overseas members may donate some higher value as it will ease the burden and help us complete it with success.

The renovation works continued to the 17th day on 2015-9-6. It was a huge task to restore this precious building into the pristine condition within a very short period. Our group members really work hard on this while everyone has done what they can. Just like the previous projects the support of our overseas members was outstanding.

Dharmaraja Vs Kingswood Big match 2015 (109th Battle of the Maroons)

Teams

The 109th battle of the maroons also known as the Big Match between Dharmaraja Vs Kingswood is one of the oldest big matches in the island. This year Rajans got into the game with clear favorites. Rajans batted the first innings and put a massive target of 306/6 ahead of our brothers who struggled with the pace and lift of Lahiru Samarakoon and scored 79 for the loss of 5 wickets at the end of day one. They were bowled out for 152 runs and had to bat for the second innings as they could not put a reasonable score to avoid follow on. The Second day was not so bright for the Kingswoodians and they fell for 104 runs giving the 4th win to Rajans during last five years

Announcement - Big Match Celebrations 2015

The 109th battle of the Maroons between Dharmaraja College and Kingswood College will be held on 20th and 21st of March 2015 at Pallekele international cricket stadium. To celebrate this wonderful moment Rajans OBU Group of 94 has our own plans on the second day (21st of March 2015).

Dear brothers, we have designed a limited number of special shirts for our members and have arranged many special things including booooozzzzzzeeee. Hurry up and reserve your one before 16th of March

Head to head comparison shows that we have a clear advantage over KCK as we still remain unbeaten in Div A while KCK has beaten in couple of matches in Div B. So come to Pallekele international stadium to witness the third consecutive victory of Rajans !

13th Annual Get Together (2015) of Rajans OBU Group of 94

On the last day of the month of February 2015, the members of Rajans OBU Group of 94 held the annual get together for the 13th time at the Oak Ray Hotel - Kandy. The chief guest was the principal of Dharmaraja College Mr S.M.Keerthiratne. Indika Basnayake, one of the outstanding characters of the group was elected as the President while Anil Mudannayake and Anjula De Silva were elected as secretary and treasure respectively
